Do we have Freewill?

I came up with this few months ago and wrote it down, saved it in notepad. now I just rediscovered the file and I decided to post it here.

"I was thinking the other day and have come up with a theory."

If the Universe is just one big program that is running everything, a simulation in a way, just a bunch of complex rules, if, else, not, etc..., and the tiniest bits of particles are the pixels, which is, like binary, just governed by just two different values.

and what we see in our eyes are just our Advanced Intelligence's 3D interpretation of what the program is processing right now.

Then that would mean we don't have free will at all, and there is no point parallel universes, No point in alternate history, There is no randomization, Its just one big movie.

Everything and Everyone has a definite path from the start. Its just a matter of "key" when if comes to encryption. and that key has already been defined. by whom or what, I don't know.

Imagine something happening in real life, observe the results, then imagine it happening again, having the exact same conditions, same exact particles, same position in the universe, same air movement, same everything. it would produce the exact same result right?

Just look at it, You can't really produce real random numbers in a software. you need a physical device. That physical device in turn is governed by the universe which in my opinion another more complex software that is also not truly random.

if you observe something happening, It is not entirely random, there are reasons why it happened, The reason why we say something is "random" is because there's too many factors going on that is way more than the human's capacity to be able to predict, determine and judge.

But I can tell that we are really advancing on that "capacity". Years ago we can't predict the weather, Now we can know the probability of raining or not, and etc, maybe we are still missing in alot of factors to be able to completely predict these kind of things.

for example you observe a paper falling to the ground, why did such an object move that way? too many factors going on, to name a few..  the object's position, the things around it, air, gravity, pressure, temperature, the condition of the things around it, the properties of the object itself, and so on.

Get the same exact things/conditions again and simulate it = same thing will happen over and over again. that means there are no dynamic events, no randomization, no free will.

What buggles me now that you mention it is the human brain and our capacity to assign and interpret our own values from nothing. Its the only thing from what I know that is hard to think as being pre-determined and predictable.

I dunno if we can really create random values in our brain or it is just an illusion of freewill, An illusion in a way that our actions and our future actions are actually already defined as well, We are just given an illusion that we can think and create on our own, but really what we come up with is what the universe is exactly expecting for us to do.

Yea, I can choose whether to go left or right, I was given a choice and I'd gone left, Not knowing that left was really the predetermined choice I was gonna take. by what affecting factors? We don't know.

What if there's no freewill and what we have is the appearance or the illusion of freewill?

This is a great scene from the incredible movie "Walking Life" talking about freewill, predetermination, and randomization. Please do watch the video

Evolution vs Creation

Who would win? Evolution or Creation???

Part 1: What is Evolution, How does it differ from Creation???

From wikipedia it says...
Evolution is the change in the inherited characteristics of biological populations over successive generations. Evolutionary processes give rise to diversity at every level of biological organisation, including species, individual organisms and molecules such as DNA and proteins.

Life on Earth originated and then evolved from a universal common ancestor approximately 3.7 billion years ago. Repeated speciation and the divergence of life can be inferred from shared sets of biochemical and morphological traits, or by shared DNA sequences. These homologous traits and sequences are more similar among species that share a more recent common ancestor, and can be used to reconstruct evolutionary histories, using both existing species and the fossil record. Existing patterns of biodiversity have been shaped both by speciation and by extinction. (END OF WIKI REFERENCE)

Everything came and evolved from one 'being' only, possibly a micro-ogranism. at first, that 'being' multiplied, spreading throughout the ecosystem, Different parts of ecosystem means different conditions, which, our ancestor needed adaptations to the different conditions in the ecosystem, They evolved and evolved. But now the question is, where did that single specimen come from, I dunno, from an asteriod maybe?

We evolve because we adapt, we change, as a species, to survive. As the conditions we live in change, we too also change.

For example, Birds came from the Dinosaurs, Yes you've read that right. Those big massive creatures that used to walk on this planet with the capacity to eat us, became birds and now being eaten by us, Hunter becomes the Hunted.

They were massive, now because of the asteriod impact, it impacted the food supply and the chain, It destroyed most plants, killed most animals, The Dinosaurs, with less things to eat, overtime, evolved to a much smaller species to accomodate the much smaller prey, and can fly, albeit inheriting some of the old features of the Dinosaurs, like the body structure. to adapt to the new situation.

By this logic, we would assume that the Earth, at the time of the Dinosaurs, had a VERY MASSIVE Ecosystem. big animals, big plants, big everything. Maybe the Dinosaurs even developed Sentience and Civilization, But I wouldnt tackle that for now, maybe some other time, Today's topic is Evolution vs Creation.
------------------------------------

Part 2: What about Creation???

From wiki again..
A creation myth is a symbolic narrative of how the world began and how people first came to inhabit it. Creation myths develop in oral traditions and therefore typically have multiple versions; and they are the most common form of myth, found throughout human culture. In the society in which it is told, a creation myth is usually regarded as conveying profound truths, metaphorically, symbolically and sometimes even in a historical or literal sense. They are commonly, although not always, considered cosmogonical myths—that is they describe the ordering of the cosmos from a state of chaos or amorphousness. (END OF WIKI REFERENCE)

Basically a story(that differs culture to culture) how the world was made without including scientific and literal explainations for everything. Most times all the creatures were created, "as is". Meaning humans were created as humans, Chickens were created as chickens, from out of nowhere. e.g. from dust, clouds, flesh of the gods, etc. and by a single or a group of super entities(which again, differs from culture to culture).

They could, Creation and Evolution, actually co-exist, Creation being the Mythical and Symbolical explanation and Evolution being the Literal and Scientific explanation.

But the problem is most Creationists deny and hate the theory of Evolution, saying it doesnt exists, and is taking the Creation Myth literal and scientific. when most Evolutionists differed in perspective and accepted the Creation Myth, being it, a myth.

---------------------------------------------------------------
Part 3: Evolution as the scientific/literal explanation vs Creation as the scientific/literal explanation...

if there's no Evolution from where did the modern-animals(example the modern day chicken) came from? Surely we could have found some fossils that are as OLD AS THE FIRST EVER FOSSILIZED SPECIES but no they're not there, so that means THEY DID NOT EXIST AT THE TIME.  they evolved from other species.

if there's no Evolution from where did the modern-humans came from? Surely we could have found some fossils that are as OLD AS THE FIRST EVER FOSSILIZED SPECIES but no they're not there, so that means THEY DID NOT EXIST AT THE TIME

which leads to a plausible theory, the evolution, in which modern-day-species evolved from past species, that explains why an animal here wasn't present 100 millions ago(from fossil records) and an animal 100 millions ago isn't present today.(from exploration)

Whats the explanation for 1 and 2? that god created them later after sometime?(and from out of nothing) where is the proof?

Creation is a MYTH. Evolution is a THEORY. what would you believe in?

Anyone with a common sense would understand the concept of Evolution.

I believe in God, in Creation, and in Evolution.

GOD - With all of these even happening, there must be some sort of supernatural being there that have caused or made everything

CREATION AND EVOLUTION, Imagine your god, you have created a dimension called the universe, you create absolute laws on how this universe would function, You wanted to create a human being from nothing. How would God do that? It has to be the most realistic way as possible, No, not from out of nowhere, No, not from dust, but from existing molecules that can actually mutate and evolve into what he planned.

Can't think like a God?

Man Version:

You would like to construct a 3 story building, how would you construct a building? First you have to do a first floor, then a second floor. Then the third floor, then Paint it. Its done.

There's no problem at the moment, just like Crocodiles. no need for a change. Crocodiles were here even at the time of the Dinosaurs, they did not change, evolved, they stayed the same. because it does not need to.

But the climate changed, due to frequent rains the third floor and second floor concrete has soften and can collapse anytime, alot of cracks. So lets Repair and make some CHANGES to ADAPT to the frequent rains, = Evolution

There was an earthquake, The building was destroyed = Extinction

230 Days? Srsly???

Two. Hundred. And. Thirty. Days. Since. My. Last. POST.
SERIOUSLY??? or 7 months, 16 days

OR:

 • 331,200 minutes
 • 5520 hours
 •  32 weeks

Its almost a year since I last posted here.

Talk about 1 year. I celebrated my 18th Bday last February 5, three days ago.

Happy Birthday to me!!! Seig fucking Heil!!!
okay, maybe saying that was a bad idea.

and a fckin lot has happened in my life(and inside my mind)

Okay, talk about my last post., hmm, The Mavs are done celebrating, Lebron looking for revenge, there was a NBA lockout, but it already ended and a new short 66 game season already started and now half-way through with my favorite team, The Chicago Bulls along with my favorite player Derrick Rose leading in wins.

I'm now a second year student and halfway through the school year. 2.5 out of 4 quarters done!

I have classes later, I'm not bored.. stopped playing HoN, DoTA and Call of Duty 4 a long time ago, I am Now playing Battlefield 3, Skyrim and NBA 2k12.

Yes I really need to have this.

Thats right, The PS VITA, Its already out in Japan, and also in the Philippines but it only came from Japan and its way too overpriced here so its a big no no for now.

Really alot has happened to me the past 230 Days, I lost my phone, huhu for that, I upgraded my Video Card to Radeon HD 6870 and my processor to a Core i7. RAM was increased to 8 GB. hurrey for that.

I got two Ipods, an iPad, an aPad, soon PS Vita.

looking back at my last post, It looks like I just found out about QWOP and just finished creating my Online Radio Station 290 Days ago.

So to celebrate that I will post another cool game. GIRP!
